The new Healthy Homes Standards intoduced in July 2019 has increased the requirements that all rental properties must meet including:

Insulation

Heating

Ventilation

Draught stopping

Moisture ingress and drainage

The Eco Insulation teams can assist landlords and property managers to assess their rentals to confirm compliance to the HHS requirements. Additionally, we can provide upgrades of insulation - including heating and ventilation (in selected locations).

Some Key HHS Dates

From 1 July 2019

Statement of intent confirming landlord intents to comply with HHS

From 1 January 2021

Tenancy agreements must include statement as to what is and is not compliant re HHS

From 1 July 2021

Landlords must ensure that their rental properties comply with HHS within 90 days of any new, or renewed tenancy

From 1 July 2024

All rental properties (including boarding houses) must be fully compliant with all HHS’s
